Researching
I'm doing all the polish work on my dark paranormal romance. And you know what my favorite part of the whole business is?
Research.
Yep, me, who was never a fan of school or God knows, HOMEWORK, I love the research.
Especially this part. I'm going in and adding bits and pieces of reality to my fictional story and having to make it as absolutely real as possible.
Well, the picture is of Manorbier castle in Wales. My hero and heroine head here, looking for safety and find a big surprise. But oh, how I love this castle. It was built in the 12th century and it's still standing, which you've just got to admire. There's also a 'modern' house at the castle, built in the 1900's, that you can rent by the week. Have to say, I've already warned the dh that there's a trip to Wales in our future!

Springtime Means Sacrificial Flowers Are Here
It's Spring! And yes, that means it's time to get the flowerbeds in shape and head to the nursery for more death blossoms.
Seriously, I don't know what it is about me. My grandmother could grow flowers through solid concrete. I on the other hand, am the kiss of death to anything blooming!
Yet every year I try again. This picture is last year's attempt. Look good, don't they? Yep. For about a month. Then they get all white and powdery looking. Then their little leaves turn brown and crinkly. And finally, as with all other growing things in my garden...they toss their little leaves over their little heads and fall down never to rise again.
So why do I keep trying? I just don't know how to give up, I guess. How about you? Are you a great gardener? Or like me, can you hear plants screaming when you walk by...
AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH............
Okay, it's more like Deadlines and Taxes around here.....
Couldn't resist that picture though. About sums up how most of us feel on this hideous day.
So excuse me for the no blogging here lately, but deadlines have me chained to the keyboard and taxes...
Well, you know.
