My next release is part of the KINGS OF CALIFORNIA series. It's out on the shelves the first week in October!

And to celebrate, I'm going to give away a free signed copy of this book to one of the commentors here on the blog!

All you have to do to enter is to leave a comment, telling me what you love about romance and who your favorite writers are!

On Tuesday, Oct. 5th, I'll pick a winner! Oh, and not only will you get a signed copy of CINDERELLA AND THE CEO, but I'm also going to include a signed copy of my two in one re-release that will be out this November.

Two of my favorites are in this collection--THE LAST VIRGIN IN CALIFORNIA and MARINE UNDER THE MISTLETOE.

So, let me hear from you.

What do I love about romance? Everything. I love that feeling...the was that your heart races and feels like it is going to burst. I love when an author gets that feeling across in their romance novels.

I have a MASSIVE collection of romance novels (soon to be taking over my husband's portion of storage!). My favorite authors include Susan Mallery, Emilie Rose, Lori Foster, Diana Palmer and of course, you!

I have LOVED this series! "Bargaining for King's Baby" is my favorite!

What I love about romance... I feel like I could write a book about that. The condensed version: the sharp breathes that came from that first look and touch, the racing heart whenever you think of him, the giddiness you feel whenever you're near him, the need and impulsiveness. It's like a drug. And I love it.

My favorite authors would be Lisa Kleypas, Julia Quinn, Karen Marie Moning and many more!

Hi Maureen! What's not to love about romance? I love the happily ever afters, the kick ass women, the sexy men, the great locations, and just the all around stories that take you away, even if its just for a few hours.

To pick my favorite authors is sooooo hard, lol! I have so many! So I will name a few. Maureen Child, Tori Carrington, Lori Foster, Stephanie Meyer, Stephanie Tyler, Kerrelyn Sparks, Karin Harlow, Samantha Hunter, Sarah Mayberry, Joanne Rock, Cara Summers, Tawny Weber and the list goes on and on and on, lol!

Oh Romance! I'm a sucker for romance...what I like about it? I think the question is, what's not to like? I mean, everything is gold! I love when the guy and the girl hate each other at first, and then slowly, against all odds, gets together - love it, and can't get enough of it. It makes me all tingly and smiling all day like a fool. Reading a romance novel is almost(alomost) like falling in love...if the story really gets into me, I can't stop thinking about it for days! :)

I'm reading Jo Goodman right now, and loving it, she has the most classy writing style - I became an instant fan of hers. I also like Judith McNaught - she's one of my favorites. And I'm dying to try Julia Quinn, everyone says wonders about her.

I love the rush of romance when it engages my emotions and takes me on a trip with characters. I'm a complete junkie ;)

So many authors, so little time, so here are just a few: Maureen Child, Kate Walker, Penny Jordan, Sara Craven, Liz Fielding, Susan Mallery, Diana Palmer, Nora Roberts, Tessay Radley, Kate Hardy, Jessica Hart.... I'm getting carried away...

    Many congrats to you, Maureen!

I love romance because of the guaranteed Happily Ever After. Real life? Not so much. (Just talk to my student loan corporation!)

Writers? MC, Lisa Kleypas, SEP, and Sherrilyn Kenyon...to name just four of a million out there!

Love the happy endings in romance books even when the hero/heroine has to work really hard to get that ending. And I am not going to mention my favorite authors because I might miss one and then they would be unhappy. Let's just say there are a lot of favorites and you are included!!

Well there you are! Of course you've been busy....you're a writer!
I think romance novels bring hope to women, that they too, will find that special person that they've been waiting for. I say, "hang on ladies, it's never too late!".

I think being a quote "Die Hard Romantic" I enjoy reading romance so much. My vast collection proves it. I especially enjoy the Kings Of California because I could tell Maureen had a blast writing it. The Kings are the kind of familly you'd want as your friends. I think of all the King's books Jericho King's story was my favorite. And of all my favorite authors which include Diana Palmer, Brenda Novak, Susan Mallery and Sherryl Woods I think you have made me glad I chose to collect these books. You're the best Maureen!:)

I love everything about a romance. Romance means magic, hapiness, hot moments, a super interactions between the couple, therefore I cannot say just one thing about what I love, but all those thing represent romance to me. And that's why I love it so much. =)

My favorite writer is Judith Mcnaught, you (of course!), Diana Palmer, Dana Marton, Jude Deveraux... oh, I feel like I could stay here all the day, talking about my favorite writers. =)

I love how reading a romance sweeps me into another world, so that for a little while I can set aside any worries or struggles that are bothering me in the real world.

Choosing my favorite romance authors is impossible, but I can share a few from my list of auto-reads. :-) Of course, I adore your books, Maureen! I also enjoy reading titles by Olivia Gates, India Grey, Abby Green, Sharon Kendrick, Dee Tenorio, and Penny Jordan.

    Have a gorgeous day!

It would be such a treat to win an autographed copy of any of your books. The KINGS OF CALIFORNIA SERIES have peaked my interest!
A few favorite authors are: Carolyn Brown, Jude Deveraux, Jenny Crusie, Julie Garwood, Lisa Klepas and Judiyth McNaught.
I chose to read romance (or romance w/ a touch of suspense) because the reading is light, usually non-controversial and a pleasant escape from the harsh realities of the *real* world!

I love reading all fiction but romance holds a special place because it's about honest emotion and people overcoming challenges to find themselves and each other. Takes me back to the days when I met my husband and we were all about the romance. You know, before everyday life made it more of a challenge to find quality time together.

So many authors. Of course Maureen Child :o) Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Kristan Higgins, Barbara O'Neal, Nora Roberts. I have many, many others (stacked in my TBR pile!)

    Hi Maureen,
I follow your F/B page and saw this contest today. I won't lie I would love to win your contest as much as I love to go to curl up in bed with a good romance book.
What is there not to love about romance...nothing.
I love being sucked inside the h/h emotions. The constant pull and push in a relationship.
The build up of how they can overcome whatever life may throw at them, and in the end true love always preservers.
It wouldn't be a romance without a happily ever after.
    Neecy

Hi! I love romance, and the happy endings. I love the way the men in the books take the time to really think of ways to impress the woman he wants to have for the rest of his life. I also like to get away form my everyday life nad your books and Catherin Manns, and Charlene Sands, Jane Porters,Joann Ross are a few of my favorites that I look for first to get me in the romance mood.

I'm a bit of a romantic, so I just love how everything always works out in the end. It makes me feel like all's right with the world.

I don't think I have a favourite romance writer, (haven't been able to get my hands on any romance books lately), but Silhouette is my favourite series out of all the others. I have such fond memories of sneaking them into bed, so I could read late at night when I was supposed to be asleep. I do know that my two favourite Silhouette books were written by Joan Elliott Pickart and Maureen Child.

Sadly, the Silhouette series isn't available in the UK, so I have to wait until I go back to my home country and trawl through the second-hand bookstores, which is sometimes a fruitless endeavour. But that was how I found 'Mom in Waiting' so it isn't all bad! :)

I love the tenderness and passion of romance and (very important!) that I can always count on an HEA. Life and the daily news give me the bad news. I count on romance as something entertaining and uplifting that can take all the negative stuff off my mind and bring me to a happy place.

It goes without saying, of course, that you are among my favorite authors. (I'm sure I told you that I found myself far from home visiting in-laws and without a book. We came across a flea market, and I was elated to find one of your books that I hadn't read before, so I snatched it up!) Bronwyn Jameson, Holly Jacobs, Beth Ciotta, Jill Shalvis, Rachel Gibson, Susan Mallery, Susan Donovan, Kristan Higgins, and Karen Robards are also favorites, among others. (I hate to try to list them because I always leave some out!)

Fortunately for me, there are many, many talented writers out there who give me heroes with whom I can fall in love and heroines I can admire and root for! Keep them coming.
