Summer Reading

Yep, it's that time of the year again. Hard to believe winter's gone, spring's a memory and the hot days of summer are staggering toward us!
But the best part of summer??? Summer Books!
Yes, I'm a little prejudiced, I do think my own book, MORE THAN FIENDS makes for some great summer reading. But....there are more out there!
For example: Nora's got a new one coming out next month! Can't wait for that one. Just finished Lean, Mean and Thirteen by Janet Evanovich. And....let me find my list. There are LOTS more! But help me out here..... which books are YOU looking forward to reading this summer??

Hi Maureen! I just picked up the new Evanovich and can't wait for Nora's latest either! I'm currently re-reading Nancy Martin's Blackbird Sisters mystery series and I'm going to the bookstore today to find Susan Mallery's Tempting. After that, I've got two anthologies to read, Jen Apodaca's and Mary Castillo's, then two suspense novels by Steve Berry and Barry Eisler. That's just the top of my TBR pile!

    Have a great summer!

Hey Kate!! Wow, twins separated at birth, that's us! Your TBR pile looks so much like mine, it's scary!!

More Than Friends, of course! ;-)

I actually was stunned when my 17-year-old daughter, who has sort of had this atheistic, teenage, negative outlook, gifted me on Mohter's Day with a book by Thich Naht Hanh, one of my favorite writers of all time--a Vietnamese Buddhist monk (which she bought with her OWN money, no less!). So now I feel VERY obligated to read it, along with all my other nonfiction reading that is PILING up by my bedside. I am dying to delve in--but deadlines are kicking my you-know-what.

Hey, thanks, Erica!! I'm honored to be in a TBR pile like that one!

And aren't kids the most amazing creatures?? Just when you think you know what to expect...they turn on a dime. God, I love being a mom!

Hi Maureen. I too just finished Lean Mean Thirteen, loved it. My TBR pile is huge. I just recently discovered Leanne Banks so I have a pile of her older books sitting on my night stand along with Jennifer Apodaca's Sex on the Beach Book Club, a couple of older Maureen Child books, Kathleen Long, Natalie Collins, Deborah LeBlanc and so on and so on.

Think my day job will let me get some reading done here??

I sat outside on the balcony most of the day a read this fabulous book called Scorned by the Boss by Maureen Child. Looking forward to hearing about Janine and Debbie. I still have The Executive's Vengeful Seduction by Maxine Sullivan to read and then I'll have the August Desires done. I want to get to Broken by Megan Hart, The Marriage Bed by Jadith Arnold and Casey by Lori Foster. I also have a few older Diana Palmer books to get to.

Christa! You just made my day! Thank you! I really had a good time with the three girlfriends. And I have to admit...Janine was my favorite!

And ooh, sitting out on the deck reading. Does it get any better than that??

I loved Janine too. She seemed very outspoken.I loved the parts where she was on the phone with Cait and yellin at the staff in the background (poor Michael)

Sitting on the balcony could be better if I had a goergeous cabana boy serving me margaritas.

I loved MORE THAN FIENDS! It's perfect for summer reading, or anytime you just need a laugh.

I have got to get LEAN MEAN AND THIRTEEN. I kind of lost interest in the series, but it sounds like I'm missing out. I hate missing out!
