History Day.........

Welcome to History Day.............

1861, Tennessee seceded from the Union

1864, Abraham Lincoln was nominated by the Republican Party for a second term as President. (Wonder if he would have accepted if he'd known how it would turn out?)

1966, a merger was announced between the National and American football leagues to take effect in 1970

1967, 34 U.S. servicemen were killed when Israeli forces raided the Liberty, a Navy vessel stationed in the Mediterranean. (Israel called it a tragic mistake) ((I wonder how they could have mistaken a US Navy vessel for anything but what it was))

1998, the NRA votes in Charlton Heston as president

That's it for me! Let's hear from you!!
